Patricia M. wants to inspire little children

Patricia MAIM HIGHER –

Patricia wants to be the kind of Kindergarten teacher who inspires her students. Her dream job is to teach at Oakwood Elementary School in Plymouth, MN, where she attended classes until fourth grade. Patricia’s Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Anderson, created a love of learning and cared for Patricia during a challenging time. Mrs. Anderson believed in her and helped Patricia understand that she would be able to finish school and could overcome the challenges of a learning disability in reading. One of the other teachers at Oakwood also took Polaroid pictures of each student as a keepsake for Patricia when she was about to move because of foster care.

Patricia is an upcoming senior at Concordia University in St. Paul.  She has an outstanding GPA and will do her student teaching this spring before graduating in May.  We know she will accomplish her dream and be just the kind of inspirational teacher every young child needs!

Tomorrow meet Gary.
